Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance also present in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film, and is therefore particularly well tolerated. It is characterized by a high water-retention capacity and is viscoelastic. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid adheres well to the surface of the eye (mucoadhesive properties), thus increasing its duration of action. Glycerol is also a natural substance in the body and an additional moisturizing factor. Thanks to these moisture-retaining and moisture-releasing properties, glycerol (along with hyaluronic acid) stabilizes the aqueous layer of the tear film. The eye drops are suitable for dry, burning, and watery eyes (paradoxical dry eye). They provide moisture, improve the quality of the tear film, and protect the ocular surface. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur can be used in all forms of dry eye, for example: - in case of pronounced symptoms of dryness and burning eyes; - for watery eyes (paradoxical dry eye); - in dry eyes due to lipid deficiency - meibomian gland dysfunction; - in dry eyes caused for example by Sjtigrens syndrome or by taking medications; - in the post-operative period, for example after cataract surgery, LASIK, LASEK; - in the presence of environmental stress, for example due to wind/draughts, cold, dry air, air-conditioned rooms or air pollution; - in case of fatigue and visual stress caused by prolonged viewing, for example when working on a computer, microscope, or during long car journeys; - in case of mechanical stress, caused for example by hard or soft contact lenses or by diagnostic procedures on the eye. Suitable for use in adolescents and adults. How to use Before first use, write the opening date in the space provided on the vial label. Wash your hands and remove the protective cap before each use. Before using the SafeDrop bottle for the first time, squeeze it several times until the first drop is released. Hold the bottle upside down. Avoid any contact between the dropper tip and your fingers or your eye. Make sure your thumb rests on the large, circular, non-slip finger rest. Alternatively, if you are using the eye drops with contact lenses, apply one or two drops to each lens before inserting them into your eyes, rather than instilling the drops directly into your eyes. Hylo-Vision SafeDrop Lipocur can also be used while wearing contact lenses. After use, the multi-dose container should be closed with the protective cap. Do not use as the sole treatment for an eye infection. Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date, which is stated on each SafeDrop vial and on the folding carton. For hygiene reasons, the same multidose container should not be used by more than one patient. The product is not suitable as a storage liquid for contact lenses. The product must be kept out of reach of children. If symptoms persist during use, consult your eye doctor. For external use only. Suitable for long-term use.
