HYLO NIGHT® was developed specifically for nighttime protection of the eyes surface. This soft and smooth eye ointment spreads easily over irritated eye surfaces and, thanks to its vitamin A content, soothes the burning, dry, and tired feeling of the eyes. HYLO NIGHT® is preservative-free and therefore very well tolerated. The concentrated ointment has a shelf life of 6 months after opening. HYLO NIGHT® is suitable as a nighttime supplement to HYLO® eye drops for all stages of dry eye. Soft eye ointment with vitamin A Vitamin A is an essential nutrient for our bodies, important for regulating growth and protecting mucous membranes, for example. It is also known as the eye vitamin due to its significant role in vision and tear production. This vitamin is a natural component of the tear film, which contributes to the good tolerability of HYLO NIGHT®. It also ensures that the eye ointment mixes well with the natural tear film, allowing the eyelids to glide more easily over the cornea and conjunctiva. Different stages of dry eyes Dry eyes, also known as sicca syndrome, manifest with various symptoms such as burning, redness, or itching; the eyes may feel tired or irritated. For mild to moderate symptoms, moisturizing eye drops provide rapid relief. For patients with more severe or chronic symptoms, special high-viscosity gel drops are recommended, as they adhere to the eyes surface for an extended period. Additionally, applying an eye ointment overnight can provide intensive lubrication for all forms of dry eye and support the regeneration of the stressed eye surface. Application:Step 1: Tilt your head back slightly and pull the lower eyelid away from the eye a little with the finger of one hand. Step 2: With your other hand, hold the tube upright above your eye. Apply gentle pressure to the tube to squeeze a small amount of ointment into the conjunctival sac. Step 3: Close your eyelids slowly. Any excess ointment that squeezes out can be removed with a compress or a cloth. Note : When using eye ointments, direct contact of the tube tip with the eye and facial skin should be avoided.
