HYALO4 CARE START GEL Description Fluid ointment for topical application containing hyaluronic acid sodium salt from bacterial fermentation, as the main component, and bacterial collagenase obtained from a non-pathogenic strain of Vibrio alginolyticus, as an incorporated medicinal substance. As part of the wound bed preparation phase, HYALO4 CARE START promotes the healing process and protects newly formed tissue thanks to the hydrating action of hyaluronic acid. In fact, wound healing occurs more rapidly in a moist environment. Bacterial collagenase promotes wound bed preparation. Indicated for the local treatment of chronic wounds (bedsores, vascular ulcers of the lower limbs, diabetic ulcers). It is particularly indicated for promoting an optimal moist environment and wound bed preparation, which facilitate the natural healing process. How to use Wounds must be cleansed and disinfected before application. To ensure successful treatment, the wound area must be sufficiently moist. Dry wounds should be moistened with saline solution (0.9% NaCl) or tissue-friendly solutions, such as glucose solution. Hard/dry bedsores should be softened with a moistened pad. Apply a 2 mm layer of HYALO4 CARE START to the wound once daily or as directed by your healthcare professional. Cover the treated area with a sterile bandage to ensure adequate contact. Pregnancy and breastfeeding. HYALO4 CARE START can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, according to medical advice. Components Main component: hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.2%. Other ingredients: collagenase (not less than 2.0 nkat/g of ointment4), light liquid paraffin, white petrolatum. Warnings It should not be used in patients with known individual hypersensitivity to any of the products components. Warnings and precautions It is recommended not to use the product for more than 30 days. If you experience any signs of infection, consult your doctor. Tetracyclines should not be used topically with HYALO4 CARE START. Do not use the product with soaps/detergents or disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts, silver, or other heavy metals, which may reduce the products effectiveness. If necessary, ask your healthcare provider which products to use. Do not use on exposed cartilage or tendon tissue. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of accidental ingestion or inhalation, consult a doctor immediately. Avoid direct contact of the container with the wound. Reclose the container after each application. Do not use if package is damaged. The product can be used for up to 36 months after first opening the container. Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package. The expiry date refers to the product stored correctly. After use, dispose of in accordance with current national regulations. Keep this product out of the sight and reach of children. Side effects Local side effects such as pain, itching, burning, and erythema may occur.
