Hold the bottle upright while doing so. Squeeze the air out of the hot water bottle and gently lower it onto a flat surface until the water becomes visible through the opening. Screw the cap on tightly by hand and make sure that no water leaks out. Empty the hot water bottle after use. Dry it upside down, preferably at room temperature. Unscrew the cap.
