ACTION AND DESCRIPTION Eye lubricant in the form of a sterile hypo-osmolar emulsion with 0.18% sodium hyaluronate (obtained by fermentation) without colorants. It is an emulsion that stabilizes the tear film. It contains sodium hyaluronate, a component naturally present in the eye that helps protect and hydrate the ocular surface. Thanks to the physical properties of sodium hyaluronate, it has a high water retention capacity and viscoelastic properties, allowing the formation of a homogeneous lubricating film that protects the ocular surface. It thus acts on the aqueous layer to hydrate and protect the ocular surface. It is hypo-osmolar in order to compensate for the deleterious phenomena (inflammations) induced by the hyperosmolarity of tears in cases of dry eyes. Sodium hyaluronate also has mucomimetic properties that allow this product to promote the fixation of the tear film. Contains no preservatives or surfactants to optimize local tolerance. COMPOSITION Sodium hyaluronate (0.18%), triglycerides and phospholipids, lipoic acid, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, citric acid, sodium chloride and water for injection. STORAGE AND EXPIRATION Store between 2ºC and 25°C. CONTRAINDICATIONS Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE When using for the first time, unscrew the cap after checking the integrity of the safety ring. You will hear a small click, which corresponds to the moment the safety ring breaks during initial use. Always shake the bottle before use. Unless otherwise recommended, apply 1 or 2 drops to the eye as often as necessary. Using your index finger, gently pull down the lower eyelid while looking upward; then press the bottle to instill the drops. Avoid contact of the bottle nozzle with the eye and eyelids. After instillation, blink several times to distribute the solution evenly over the surface of the eye, forming a clear, long-lasting film. PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS For external use only. Do not swallow. Wash your hands thoroughly before instillation. Always shake the bottle before use. Avoid contact of the bottle nozzle with your hands, eyes, or eyelids (risk of microbial contamination). Replace the protective cap on the nozzle after each use (risk of microbial contamination). Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the bottle and carton (to avoid the risk of microbial contamination). Once first opened, use within 6 months (risk of contamination and loss of product effectiveness). If your doctor has prescribed other eye drops, observe a 15-minute interval between instillations (to avoid the risk of modifying the effect of the eye drops). If problems persist, consult your doctor. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
