herp Complementary feed for cats The product is indicated to supplement the diet with Lactoferrin and Lysine in cats subject to infectious pressure (such as carriers of Herpes Virus and Calici Virus) at the first appearance of symptoms and during periods of relapse of the same. Lactoferrin is a natural protein that mammals ingest at birth through colostrum and breast milk and is physiologically present in all body fluids (tears, saliva, bile, urine, blood, semen, cervical mucus), wherever an immediate, nonspecific defense against the entry of infectious agents from outside is required. Lactoferrin is a component of bovine milk, from which it can be isolated with particular purification techniques. The product contains a specific milk protein fraction, particularly rich in lactoferrin. Lysine is associated with it, the nutritional supplementation of which in adequate quantities helps to support and sustain the animals ability to react to difficulties arising from possible infections. Components 1 ml of Herp provides: • Lactoferrin: 60 mg • Lysine hydrochloride: 250 mg (equivalent to 200 mg of Lysine base). How to use For oral use Administer 1 ml for every 2 kg of the cats weight twice daily for the first 7 days and then halve the amount (1 ml for every 4 kg of the cats weight twice daily). Depending on the package, use the graduated dropper (50 ml package) or the graduated syringe (120 ml package) provided or, alternatively, keep in mind that: • 1 teaspoon corresponds to approximately 2 ml; • 1 teaspoon corresponds to approximately 3 ml. Administer the established quantity, possibly divided into two different times of the day, directly into the mouth or mixed with a small amount of food that is appreciated. Herp should be administered at the first signs of symptoms and until they have disappeared. In the case of chronic pathological manifestations, the product must be administered continuously or in cycles at the discretion of the Veterinarian. Format 120 ml
