Product description Hartmann Cosmos Scar Silicone Scar Patches 5 cm x 7.2 cm, 5 pcs. Silicone gel patches are inactive, non-invasive, single-use, non-sterile, self-adhesive devices consisting of a polyurethane film coated with medical-grade silicone gel adhesive and a transparent protective film. They are intended to aid in the treatment of recent hypertrophic scars and prevent excessive scar formation, such as hypertrophic scars and keloids, in individuals prone to scarring. The patches protect scars from UV radiation (50+). The patches are intended for use by individuals without medical training. How to use: The patch can be applied as soon as the wound is closed (no blood, discharge, or crusting on the skin) and/or stitches have been removed (e.g., in surgical wounds). Use on older scars is not harmful, but is less beneficial for healing. Open the box and remove the instructions for use and the individual packaging. Please read these instructions for use before applying and re-applying the patch. Wash your hands and apply the patch only to dry, clean, and oil-free skin. Avoid contact of creams or gels with the product, as they may reduce the patchs adhesion. Open the individual package (partially if necessary), remove the patch, and peel off the clear protective film. If necessary, the patch can be cut to size with clean scissors before removing the clear protective film. Remove the clear protective film and place the exposed adhesive side of the patch on the scar. Lightly pressing and shaping the edges of the patch ensures optimal adhesion to the skin. Make sure the patch fully covers the scar.
