Peha-haft bandages are bandages, therefore they do NOT have adhesive in their composition. A bandage is a wound care material that, depending on its tensile strength, composition, and elasticity (horizontal or vertical), has different characteristics and functions. This particular bandage doesnt have much elasticity; its a fixation bandage (meaning its not for compression or joint support) but rather for wound care and for securing dressings, splints, etc. The main benefit of the Peha-haft bandage is that its a cohesive bandage, meaning it adheres to itself (it doesnt stick to any surface, skin, or wound; it only adheres to itself). Therefore, you dont need adhesive tape or anything similar to secure it. Because its non-adhesive, it can also be used directly on wounds that arent very exudative, although you can also use gauze first and then the bandage. Since its a bandage and can be wrapped several times, its also recommended for rounded areas, but it can be used on any area that allows for bandaging.
