The salicylic acid is located in the center of the foam ring to allow for targeted treatment of corns. Hansaplast plasters promote the dissolution of the intercellular substance (cement substance) between individual corneocytes. This allows the upper layers of skin to absorb more moisture, soften, and begin to peel. After four days, the softened corneal tissue can be easily removed in a warm salt or soap bath. A long fixing strip ensures easy application and a secure hold for the corn plasters.
