Glicostat, M97, 60 capsules, FaresProperties: Supports carbohydrate metabolism Supports pancreas functions Ingredients/capsule: Total extract 25:1 of bitter melon fruit (Momordica charantia) 235 mg, fenugreek fruit (Foenum-graeci semen), total extract 10:1 of olive leaf (Olivae folium) 47 mg, ginseng root (Ginseng radix) 23.5 mg, total extract 10:1 of mulberry leaf (Mori folium), Gymnema sylvestre leaf. Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia) is commonly included in the daily diet of populations in subtropical and tropical areas of India, Nepal, China, Africa, Mexico, etc. Pharmacological research has shown that the active substance in this species, called charantin, has a strong hypoglycemic action. Human clinical studies have demonstrated reductions in blood sugar levels in diabetic patients and reductions in diabetes complications such as cataracts, kidney damage, and obesity. Fenugreek has antidiabetic and hypocholesterolemic effects by reducing the absorption of glucose and fats from the intestine. Studies conducted on patients with type 2 diabetes who were given fenugreek seed extract showed an improvement in glycemic control and a decrease in insulin resistance. Olive leaves have a cholesterol and triglyceride-lowering effect, reduce blood sugar and blood pressure. They help in case of diabetes, but also in its complications due to oxidative stress. Ginseng root, in addition to its stimulating action on the nervous system, also has antidiabetic effects, demonstrated in numerous studies. The ginsenosides in its composition increase pancreatic insulin secretion and the panaxans stimulate the binding of insulin to receptors. Administered to patients with diabetes mellitus, it led to a decrease in glucose, lipids and glycosylated hemoglobin levels. Mulberry leaves, traditionally used in our country for diabetes, were identified in the laboratory as containing a substance with a chemical structure similar to glucose, which explains the hypoglycemic action by inhibiting some enzymes in glucose metabolism. Gymnema sylvestre leaves act by increasing insulin secretion, stimulating pancreatic beta-cell regeneration, increasing glucose utilization, and inhibiting intestinal glucose absorption. Effect: - hypoglycemic; - stimulates the regeneration of pancreatic beta cells; - antioxidant. Recommendations: - type II diabetes; - adjuvant in type I diabetes. Contraindications: Not recommended for children under 3 years of age (the effects on young children are insufficiently studied) and in case of hypersensitivity to any of the products ingredients.
