Glucerna Select Food intended for special medical purposes, to be taken under the supervision of a physician, indicated for the diet of patients with diabetes or stress-induced hyperglycemia. It is a formula consisting of a blend of macro- and micronutrients selected and combined to meet the specific nutritional needs of patients with diabetes (types I and II) or those with specific conditions of impaired glucose metabolism (stress-induced hyperglycemia). It can be used either as a sole nutritional source or as a supplement, orally or by tube feeding. The high protein content accelerates cellular repair processes. Tube feeding: Adjust the flow rate and volume of administration based on the patients condition. If administering by gravity, a tube with a diameter of at least 10F must be used; if using a pump, a tube with a smaller diameter can be used. Additional fluid needs can be met between meals, at the end of administration by flushing the tube. Avoid contamination during preparation and use.
