After application, FRONTLINE does not enter the animals bloodstream, but concentrates in the sebum of its skin (a fine surface layer) and is thus stored in the sebaceous glands. FRONTLINE is therefore characterized by being stored for several weeks after application, being resistant to rain, baths and shampoos. By respecting a 48-hour interval between application and exposure to water, and without exceeding one bath and shampoo per week, FRONTLINE remains effective even after bathing and shampooing. Fleas and ticks are killed when they come into contact with the insecticide/acaricide molecule on your pets skin. FRONTLINE acts on the nervous system of parasites that die due to nervous hyperexcitation. FRONTLINE provides additional security against fleas: it also contains an insect reproduction regulator.
