Starting bottle feeding can have negative effects on breastfeeding. use boil fresh clean water for 5 minutes & let it cool to 40°c so that the bifidus cultures remain unchanged when dissolving the powder. pour the required amount of boiled water (see the table with the reconstitution instructions) into the sterilized bottle. using the enclosed measuring cup, measure the correct amount of powder. “cut” the surface of each measuring cup with the back of a clean, dry knife and add to the bottle. close the bottle with the sterile cap and shake thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved. remove the cap and insert the sterile nipple. allow the contents to cool (37°c). check the temperature by dropping a few drops on the inside of your wrist.
