ForMeds ® Prenacaps DHA is a food supplement in the form of capsules designed to supplement the daily diet of pregnant women, trying for a baby and women who are breastfeeding. The formula contains anchovy fish oil, which is a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Maternal consumption of docosahexaenoic acid supports normal eye and brain development in fetuses and breastfed infants. The beneficial effect occurs when 200 mg of DHA per day is consumed above the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg of DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). At the same time, EPA in combination with DHA contributes to the proper functioning of the heart with a total intake of 250 mg per day.
