Antiparasitic collar for cats and small dogs Foresto Collar, 2 pieces, Bayer Vet OTCProperties: - for the treatment and prevention of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis) for up to 8 months; - effectiveness against fleas begins immediately after applying the collar; - protects the animals surroundings against the development of flea larvae for up to 10 weeks; - can be used as part of a treatment strategy to combat flea allergy dermatitis (FAD); - the product has a long-lasting acaricidal (killing) effect (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus, turanicus) and repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) is 8 months; - it is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks. How to use: The collar should only be removed from the protective bag before use. Unfold the collar and check that there is no plastic residue left on the inside of the collar. Fasten the collar around the animals neck without tightening it too much (as a guide it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the animals neck). Pull the loose end through the buckle and cut off any excess length that exceeds 2 cm. The collar must be worn continuously throughout the 8-month protection period and must be removed after the treatment period. Check the collar periodically and adjust if necessary, especially when kittens/puppies are growing rapidly. This collar is designed with a safety locking mechanism. In the unlikely event that a cat gets caught, the cats own strength is enough to widen the collar and allow for quick release. Active substances: A 38 cm (12.5 g) gray, odorless collar contains 1.25 imidacloprid and 0.56 flumethrin as active ingredients. Excipients: Titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide (E172), dibutyl adipate, propylene glycoldicaprylocaprate, expoxidized soybean oil, stearic acid, polyvinyl chloride. Contraindications: Kittens under 10 weeks of age and puppies under 7 weeks of age should not be treated. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. Adverse reactions: Occasionally mild itching and/or erythema may be observed in animals not accustomed to wearing a collar in the first few days after application. Make sure the collar is not too tight. Slight hair loss and mild skin reactions may occur at the application site, which usually resolve within 1 to 2 weeks without the need to remove the collar. In isolated cases, temporary removal of the collar may be recommended until symptoms have resolved. In cats, in rare cases, mild and transient reactions such as depression, changes in food consumption, salivation, vomiting and diarrhea may occur initially. As with other external applications, allergic contact dermatitis may occur in hypersensitive animals. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian. Target species: Cats, dogs ≤ 8 kg. Presentation: 2 pieces
