Antiparasitic collar for large dogs Foresto Collar, 2 pieces, Bayer Vet For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) for up to 8 months. Efficacy against fleas begins immediately after applying the collar. Protects the animals surroundings against the development of flea larvae for up to 10 weeks. It can be used as part of a treatment strategy to combat flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). The product has a long-lasting acaricidal (killing) effect (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus, turanicus) and repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) is 8 months. It is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks. Active substances: A 70 cm (45 g) grey, odourless collar contains 4.5 imidacloprid and 2.03 flumethrin as active ingredients. Excipients: Titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide (E172), dibutyl adipate, propylene glycol dicaprylocaprate, expoxidized soybean oil, stearic acid, polyvinyl chloride. How to use: The collar is removed from the protective bag only before use. Unfasten the collar and check if there are any plastic remnants left on the inside of the collar. Secure the collar around the animals neck without tightening it too tightly (as a guide it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the animals neck) Pull the free end through the buckle and cut off any excess length that exceeds 2 cm. The collar must be worn continuously throughout the 8-month protection period and must be removed after the treatment period. Check the collar periodically and adjust it if necessary, especially when puppies are growing rapidly. Contraindications: Do not treat puppies under 7 weeks of age. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. Adverse reactions: Occasionally mild itching and/or erythema may be observed in animals not accustomed to wearing a collar in the first few days after application. Make sure the collar is not too tight Slight hair loss and mild skin reactions may occur at the application site, which usually resolve within 1 to 2 weeks without the need to remove the collar. In isolated cases, temporary removal of the collar may be recommended until symptoms have resolved.
