OTOSCUDO Description Disposable adhesive foil for ear protection, composed of a polyurethane adhesive foil protective film. It is indicated for protecting the auricle in patients with infectious and/or inflammatory diseases of the external and middle ear, with or without perforation of the tympanic membrane, in the postoperative course or in subjects wearing hearing aids or with transtympanic drainage. OTOSCUDO reproduces the shape of the auricle with a bilateral configuration, which means it can be applied to both the right and left ear. It consists of three layers: the adhesive foil protective film, a coating layer applied to the non-adhesive side of the protective film, a removable layer that must be removed and placed in contact with the adhesive side to allow easy detachment of OTOSCUDO at the time of application. Due to the characteristics of the polyurethane adhesive foil protective film, OTOSCUDO is: transparent: the adhesive film that is applied to the ear is transparent and aesthetically almost invisible; Waterproof: the adhesive foil protects the ear from exposure to air and water, such as during bathing in the sea, showers, swimming and, in general, during outdoor sports and recreational activities; Breathable: The foil is gas permeable. This allows air to pass through, preventing condensation and keeping the hearing of voices and sounds virtually unaltered, especially beneficial for hearing aid wearers. How to use 1. Remove the central (larger) part of the white adhesive cover. 2. Hold the protector by the two ends containing the remaining adhesive cover with the fingers of both hands. Apply the protector to the ear, keeping it stretched out, ensuring that the top part with the adhesive cap coincides with the top of the auricle, and the bottom part with the adhesive cap coincides with the lobe. Once the center part of the foil adheres well, remove the two parts of the adhesive cover still present on the foil, ensuring that the entire surface adheres to the ear. 3. Remove the two green transparent square pieces that support the foil, being careful not to pull it away from the ear. It is a good idea to hold the foil in place by squeezing one half of it while removing the other half of the support and vice versa. 4. After removing all the backing, make sure each side of the foil adheres well to the ear by pressing it against it. Format 14 pieces
