CLX 4% FOAM PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Topical emulsion (Emul.t.) COMPOSITION PER ml: Chlorhexidine digluconate 40 mg/ml. Excipients: Propylene glycol, glycerin, ethoxylated lanolin, ethoxylated fatty alcohol, deionized water. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES CLX solution 4% foam is a disinfectant rich in moisturizing and emollient substances that does not require rinsing after application. CLX solution 4% foam is effective against microorganisms sensitive to chlorhexidine. Its non-oily liquid formulation allows for the disinfection of large skin areas and frequent application. INTERACTIONS AND INCOMPATIBILITIES In case of irritation, discontinue treatment immediately and consult a veterinarian. INDICATIONS Dogs and Cats: CLX solution 4% foam is used for cleaning the skin and hair of pets when a disinfectant effect is desired in addition to the cleaning effect. CONTRAINDICATIONS • Avoid contact with eyes. • Consult a veterinarian before using on pregnant or lactating animals, sick or convalescent animals. • Do not use in conjunction with other disinfectants. ADMINISTRATION ROUTE Topical use POSOLOGY Dogs and Cats: Distribute the product evenly over the area to be disinfected. Apply once a day, unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS • Avoid contact with eyes. • Consult a veterinarian before using on pregnant or lactating animals, sick or convalescent animals. • Do not use in conjunction with other disinfectants. • Do not eat, drink or smoke while using it. • Prevent the animal from ingesting the product during use. • Avoid releasing the container into the environment after use.
