A beep will sound. A short beep confirms the start-up. The thermometer first performs a self-test for approx. 2 seconds. In this case, all display segments are visible. Then the last measured value is displayed. The setpoint value of 37 °C (98.6 °F) then appears. The measurement symbol “°C” (“°F”) then flashes and “Lo °C” (“Lo °F”) appears on the display. The thermometer is ready for measurement. During measurement, the current temperature is displayed in current mode and the “°C” (“°F”) sign flashes. The measurement is completed when a stable temperature is reached. The measurement takes approx. 10 seconds.
