Exitel Plus XL, 10 tablets STATEMENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES AND OTHER INGREDIENTS(S):Each pork-flavored tablet contains: Active ingredients: 175 mg Praziquantel; 504 mg Pirantel Embonate (equivalent to 175 mg Pirantel); 525 mg FebantelINDICATIONS: In adult dogs: Treatment of mixed infestations with the following species of nematodes and cestodes: nematodes Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adults and late larval forms) Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults) Whipworm: Trichuris vulpis (adults) tapeworms Segmented flatworms: Echinococcus species (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis) Taenia species (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adults and larvae)CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use at the same time as piperazine compounds because the anthelmintic effects of pyrantel and piperazine may be antagonistic. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.ADVERSE REACTIONS: They dont know each other. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.TARGET SPECIES: Dogs. For oral administration. The recommended dose is: 15mg/kg body weight Febantel, 5mg/kg Pyrantel (equivalent to 14.4mg Pyrantel embonate) and 5mg/kg Praziquantel. This is the equivalent of one Exitel Plus tablet per 35kg body weight. Dogs weighing over 35 kg should be given one tablet of Exitel Plus XL plus the appropriate amount of Exitel Plus, equivalent to one tablet for every 10 kg of body weight. Dogs weighing approximately 17.5 kg should be given half a tablet. The tablets can be given directly to the dog or incorporated into the food. It is not necessary to starve the animal before or after treatment. RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION: To ensure the correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. Unused portions of the tablet should be used within a maximum of 14 days.WAITING TIME: Not the case.SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS: Keep out of reach of children. This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions. Do not use after the expiration date. Each time an unused half tablet is stored, it should be placed back in the open space in the blister and inserted back into the carton.SPECIAL WARNING(S): Do not use at the same time as piperazine compounds because the anthelmintic effects of pyrantel and piperazine may be antagonistic. Concomitant administration with other cholinergic compounds may lead to toxic effects. Infestation with segmented flatworms will certainly recur - if intermediate hosts, such as fleas and mice, are not controlled. Teratogenic effects attributed to high doses of Febantel have been reported in sheep and rats. No studies have been conducted in bitches during early pregnancy. Use of the product during pregnancy should be in accordance with a risk/benefit assessment by the responsible veterinarian. It is recommended that the product not be used in bitches during the first 4 weeks of gestation. Do not exceed the specified dose when treating pregnant bitches. Parasitic resistance to a certain class of anthelmintics can develop following frequent and repeated use of an anthelmintic from that class.User precautions: In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and show the product leaflet to the doctor. For good hygiene, people who administer the tablets to dogs directly or by incorporating them into the dogs food should wash their hands afterwards.
