Product features: EpiTrain Active bandage for targeted compression of the elbow Dear Customer, Thank you for your trust in a Bauerfeind product. If the sewn-in label of your bandage bears a CE mark, it is a standard production product. If the sewn-in label reads ###Custom Made### and lacks the CE mark, it is a custom-made product as defined in Section 3 No. 8 of the German Medical Devices Act. Please read the instructions for use carefully and contact your doctor or retailer if you have any questions. Intended purpose: EpiTrain develops its special effect primarily during movement and therapeutic exercises. The knitted fabric and integrated pads made of a viscoelastic material provide alternating compression to the joints soft tissues. Improved blood flow to the joint capsule and supportive lymphatic drainage lead to reduced swelling, pain relief, and improved function. A strap is attached with Velcro to enhance the pain-relieving effect. This strap can be tightened, loosened, or removed entirely as needed. Initial application/adjustment of EpiTrain must be performed by trained professionals; otherwise, product liability is not guaranteed. Indications: Tendon insertion irritation, e.g., tennis elbow, golfers elbow (epicondylopathies) Joint wear and tear/joint inflammation (osteoarthritis/arthritis) Irritation following injury/surgery Muscle tendon disease (tendomyopathy) Prevention/Relapse prevention Application risks: If EpiTrain has been prescribed to you, please discuss its use and duration with your doctor. They will also inform you whether and with which other products EpiTrain can be used concurrently. Please strictly follow the instructions you received when purchasing EpiTrain, as well as the user manual. Improper use or unauthorized modification of the product can cause damage and void the warranty. The bandage is most effective during physical activity. Remove the bandage during extended periods of rest – e.g., sleeping or prolonged sitting. Avoid contact with greasy and acidic products, ointments, and lotions. All aids applied externally to the body can, if they fit too tightly, lead to local pressure sores or, in rare cases, constrict blood vessels or nerves. If you notice any unusual changes in yourself – e.g., an increase in symptoms – in connection with the use of EpiTrain, discontinue use and consult a doctor immediately. If the optional strap is applied too tightly, it can lead to adhesions of the fascia in cases of acute inflammatory changes, resulting in restricted movement and pain. Contains natural rubber latex (elastodiene): This can cause skin irritation in cases of hypersensitivity. Remove the bandage if you experience any allergic reactions. Contraindications: No systemic side effects are currently known. For the following medical conditions, the use of such a device is only recommended after consulting your doctor: Skin diseases/injuries in the treated area of the body, especially in cases of inflammation. Also, raised scars with swelling, redness, and increased warmth. Sensory and circulatory disorders of the arms. Lymphatic drainage disorders – also unclear soft tissue swelling, distant from the applied aid. Instructions for using the EpiTrain To easily apply the brace, first open the strap and loosely attach it to the velour (when inserting the strap). Fold the upper part of the brace outwards until the cutouts for the internal massage pads are visible. Then grasp the brace at the pad insertion point and pull it over the elbow. Ensure that the outer bony prominence (epicondyle) is positioned in the pads recess, as is the inner bony prominence. Then fold the upper edge of the brace back into its original position. To enhance the pain-relieving effect, make a fist, moderately tighten the strap, and reattach the end of the strap with the fastener without tension. Then open your fist again (when inserting the strap). As soon as the muscles are tensed, a pleasant, relieving pressure should be exerted on the muscle attachment. If necessary, the strap can be tightened further, but the arm should not be constricted. If tingling, blood pooling, swelling or numbness occurs, the belt should be loosened or removed immediately. Detaching the EpiTrain: To easily remove the bandage, open the strap again and loosely attach it to the velour surface. Then grasp the bandage at the lower end, near the pad attachment, and pull it towards your hand. Note: Please attach the strap only to the designated velour area and not to the knitted fabric, as this could damage the knitted surface. Cleaning instructions: Note: Never expose the bandage to direct heat (e.g., radiator, sunlight, storage in a car). This can impair the bandages effectiveness. Please refer to the care instructions on the sewn-in label, located inside the bandage. Please note the following information: Close the straps buckle. We recommend using a laundry net. The bandage is not suitable for tumble drying. Wash the bandage regularly to maintain the compression of the knit fabric. For complaints, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product. Note: Only clean items will be processed. Instructions for reuse: This product is intended solely for your use. Do not give the bandage to anyone else. Warranty: The legal regulations of the country where the product was purchased apply. If you suspect a warranty claim, please contact the person from whom you purchased the product first. They are your first point of contact locally, before contacting the manufacturer. Please use the product according to the expert instructions and the enclosed user manual. Observe the care instructions and do not make any modifications to the product.
