Among them, it helps improve womens menstrual cycles by stimulating and promoting menstrual flow. Thanks to its leaves and flowers, sage helps regulate menstrual cramps. It also helps control menopausal symptoms due to its hemostatic properties. It has antiseptic, estrogenic, eupeptic, and antiperspirant properties. It is also rich in flavonoids and phenolic acids, which contribute to reinforcing these effects. Furthermore, it contains picrosalvin, a component that stimulates appetite and promotes proper digestive function. Regarding its properties for external use, this infusion is considered, in addition to being antiseptic, astringent (thanks to the presence of tannins), healing, and a topical antirheumatic. Who is it for? It is indicated to help reduce the following symptoms and conditions: loss of appetite, asthenia, dyspepsia due to gastrointestinal atony, biliary dyskinesia, excessive sweating, dysmenorrhea, hyperglycemia, oliguria, and menopause. For internal use, prepare by cooking. Add 4 g per cup of water. Boil for two minutes and let it steep for 10 minutes. Drink three cups daily.
