Description Effipro is an effective and easy-to-use spot-on veterinary medicinal product designed to combat flea and tick infestations in cats. It provides long-lasting protection by eliminating parasites and preventing their recurrence. Effipro can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), providing relief and improving your cats quality of life. Package contents 4 × 0.5 ml Effipro pipettes Each 0.5 ml pipette contains: Active substance: Fipronil 50 mg. Excipients: Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.1 mg, Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) 0.05 mg. Product purpose This product is intended for the control of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) and tick (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus) infestations in cats. It can be used in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) after prior diagnosis by a veterinarian. Product characteristics Effipro contains fipronil, a proven insecticidal and acaricidal active ingredient. The product effectively eliminates fleas, providing protection for up to 5 weeks, and ticks, providing protection for up to 2 weeks. Ticks are typically killed within 24-48 hours of attachment, minimizing the risk of disease transmission. The easy-to-use spot-on pipette allows for quick and stress-free application. Product use Hold the pipette vertically and snap off the tip. Part the cats fur on the back, at the base of the head, or between the shoulder blades to expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette against the skin and squeeze several times to release the entire contents directly onto the skin in one or two spots. Notes and precautions Do not use on kittens under 2 months of age and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use on sick or convalescing animals, or on rabbits. Do not use on wounds or damaged skin. The minimum interval between treatments is 4 weeks. Wash hands after application. Avoid touching the treated animal until the application site is dry. Avoid contact with the animals eyes.
