Description Effipro is an effective spot-on veterinary medicinal product designed to combat flea and tick infestations in dogs. It provides long-lasting protection by eliminating parasites and preventing their recurrence. It can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), bringing relief and comfort to your dog. Package contents 4 × 1.34 ml Effipro pipettes Each 1.34 ml pipette contains: Active substance: Fipronil 134 mg. Excipients: Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.268 mg, Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) 0.134 mg. Product purpose This product is intended for the control of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) and tick (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus) infestations in dogs weighing 10 to 20 kg. It can be used in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) after prior diagnosis by a veterinarian. Product characteristics Effipro contains the active ingredient fipronil, a proven insecticide and acaricide. It acts on the nervous system of parasites, leading to their death. The product provides effective protection against new infestations of adult fleas for up to 8 weeks and acaricidal activity against ticks for up to 4 weeks. Ticks are usually killed within 24-48 hours of attachment. The easy-to-use spot-on pipette allows for quick and easy application. Product use Remove the pipette from the package. Holding it vertically, unscrew and remove the cap, then use the reverse side of the cap to pierce the pipette seal. Part the fur on the animals back, between the shoulder blades, to expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette against the skin and squeeze it several times until the contents are emptied directly onto the skin in one or two spots. Notes and precautions Do not use on puppies under 2 months of age and/or weighing less than 2 kg. Do not use on sick or convalescing animals, or on rabbits. This product is intended for dogs only – do not use on cats. The minimum interval between treatments is 4 weeks. Avoid bathing your dog for 2 days after application. Wash your hands after application. Dogs should not swim in waterways for 2 days after application.
