PATIENT ADVICE - It is recommended to avoid continuous treatments longer than 2 weeks. - If after 7 days of treatment the patient does not improve, or if high fever, headache, nausea, vomiting or difficulty swallowing or breathing appears, it is advisable to consult a doctor and/or pharmacist. CONTRAINDICATIONS - Hypersensitivity to echinacea, sage, or any other component of the medication. Cases of cross-reactions have been reported between species of the Asteraceae family (chamomile, artichoke) or the Lamiaceae family (basil, spearmint, lemon balm, mint, oregano, rosemary, thyme), so its use is not recommended in patients who have had allergic reactions to any of these plants. - Diseases in which stimulation of the immune system could be dangerous, such as autoimmune diseases ([COLAGENOSIS], [MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS]), progressive systemic disorders ([TUBERCULOSIS], [SARCOIDOSIS]), [IMMUNODEFICIENCY] ([HIV INFECTION], primary or secondary immunosuppression), pathologies affecting white blood cells ([AGRANULOCYTOSIS], [LEUKEMIA]) or allergies ([URTICARIA], [ATOPIC DERMATITIS], [ASTHMA]). CONTRAINDICATIONS RELATED TO EXCIPIENTS This medicine contains soybean oil. Do not use if you have a soy allergy or peanut allergy. ADVANCED AGE No specific problems have been described in the elderly. PREGNANCY There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans. Its administration is only acceptable if there are no safer therapeutic alternatives, and the benefits outweigh the potential risks. INDICATIONS - Treatment of [PHARYNGITIS] associated with colds, chills or flu. Its use is based exclusively on traditional use. INTERACTIONS - Benzodiazepines. GUIDELINES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION Place the spray nozzle on the bottle and shake vigorously. Holding the bottle upright, direct the spray nozzle towards the back of the neck and press the valve. POSOLOGY - Adults: 2 sprays, 6-10 times a day. - Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: Safety and efficacy have not been evaluated. ADVERSE REACTIONS MedDRA classification of adverse reactions: very common (>10%), common (1-10%), uncommon (0.1-1.0%), rare (0.01-0.1%), occasional (<0.01%). - Digestive: Frequent oral mucosal rashes and burning sensation in the throat. - Allergic: The use of echinacea has been associated with cases of anaphylaxis, skin edema, angioedema, dizziness, bronchospasm, dyspnea, hypotension, and severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome or Quinckes edema. Similarly, echinacea has been associated with exacerbations of autoimmune reactions such as disseminated encephalitis, erythema nodosum, immunothrombocytopenia, Evans syndrome, or Sjögrens syndrome. ADVERSE REACTIONS RELATED TO EXCIPIENTS This medicine contains sorbitol. Daily doses above 10 g of sorbitol taken orally may have a mild laxative effect and lead to diarrhea. OVERDOSE Symptoms: There is no clinical experience with the use of this medication. In cases of ingestion of quantities exceeding 15 g of leaves, tachycardia, hot flashes, vertigo, and seizures have been reported. Treatment: Symptomatic.
