Boldo is a tree belonging to the Monimiaceae family. Native to South America, it grows wild in temperate zones of the Andean regions of Chile and Argentina, and in the southern highlands of Peru. The fruit of this tree has been eaten, both raw and cooked, since pre-Columbian times. Both the bark and leaves of the plant are used. Its composition is rich in essential oils such as cineole, eucalyptol, and ascaridiol, as well as flavonoids and tannins. We have selected a glycerinated extract of Boldo with a 1:5 ratio. This means that for every gram of extract, 5 grams of plant material were used. Furthermore, our glycerinated Boldo extract is standardized to 0.5 mg/ml of Boldine, providing 1.5 mg per day
