Combi-Screen PLUS test strips for urine diagnostics Combi-Screen PLUS are multi-test strips for the rapid and simultaneous determination of numerous parameters in urine, including ascorbic acid (vitamin C), bilirubin, blood, glucose, ketones, leukocytes, nitrite, pH, protein, specific gravity, and urobilinogen. They serve as a rapid test for the diagnosis and early detection of diabetes, liver and hemolytic diseases, metabolic disorders, as well as diseases of the kidneys and urogenital tract. Application area These test strips are used for the in-vitro diagnostic examination of urine and provide a quick overview of important health parameters. They support the medical evaluation of conditions such as diabetes mellitus (glucose, ketones), liver and gallbladder diseases (bilirubin, urobilinogen), and kidney and urinary tract infections (blood, leukocytes, nitrite, protein, pH, specific gravity). The results serve as a guide and must always be interpreted in conjunction with other medical findings. Application and test procedure Use only well-mixed, uncentrifuged urine that is no more than 4 hours old; first morning urine is recommended. The urine sample should be protected from light and, if immediate measurement is not possible, stored at 2–4 °C and brought to room temperature (15–25 °C) before testing. Collection containers must be clean and free of disinfectant or detergent residues; no preservatives should be added. Remove only as many test strips as needed and immediately reseal the container with the original stopper. Do not touch the reaction zones of the test strips. Briefly (approximately 2 seconds) immerse the test strip completely in the urine sample so that all test pads are wetted, and then wipe off any excess urine on the side of the container or on absorbent paper. Hold the strip horizontally during the reaction time to prevent bleeding between the fields. Compare the color changes of the test fields after 60 seconds (60–120 seconds for leukocytes) with the color scale on the packaging. Color changes that appear only at the edges of the fields or only after more than 2 minutes are not relevant for the evaluation. Visual evaluation should be performed in diffuse daylight. Important information and storage These test strips are intended solely for in-vitro diagnostic use and only for trained personnel; they are not suitable for self-testing. A definitive diagnosis should not be made based solely on a single test strip result, but always in conjunction with other medical findings. The composition of urine can vary, so in rare cases, the color and intensity of the reaction may differ. Store the container in a cool, dry place between 2 and 30 °C and protect the test strips from sunlight and moisture. If stored correctly, the strips are usable until the printed expiration date and are for single use only. Avoid swallowing, contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and keep out of reach of children.
