Clean the glass thermometer before and after use. Follow the cleaning instructions. Place the thermometer on the body, depending on the type of measurement desired (axillary, rectal or oral). After approximately 4 minutes, the thermometer will detect the body temperature. The measuring liquid in the thermometer capillary indicates the measured body temperature on the temperature scale. The temperature reading can be made easier by turning the thermometer slightly. After the measurement, the indicator liquid must be brought below 36°C again. To do this, grasp the upper end of the thermometer with your index finger and thumb and shake it with approximately 15-20 quick movements of the wrist.
