Clearblue Fertility monitor Description The Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor is a monitor that checks and records information about your fertility and pregnancy. It monitors the levels of the two key fertility hormones (estrogen and luteinizing hormone), identifying the fertile window in each cycle, when the chances of conception are highest (a few days preceding and corresponding to ovulation). The monitor reads simple urine tests to track personal hormone levels and is designed to identify all the days when fertility is high and peak. It helps identify more fertile days than any standard LH (luteinizing hormone)-based ovulation test and offers a higher chance of getting pregnant in each cycle. The simple touchscreen tells you which days you need to do urine tests and lets you set an alarm as a reminder. You can also mark the dates of intercourse on the calendar and view all your personal fertility information for the last 6 menstrual cycles on a single screen. By reading specific hormone levels, the monitor displays your fertility level as “Low,” “High,” or “Peak” each day so you can plan and optimize your chances of getting pregnant. The Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor allows you to perform pregnancy tests. You can check if you are pregnant starting 3 days before your expected period. The monitor will calculate when your period is likely to come so that you can find out as soon as possible if you are pregnant. How to use Before use, always read the instructions on the packaging and in the instruction booklet. Set up your monitor and wait until your next menstrual cycle starts before setting a new cycle and test interval. The test interval is a 6-hour period during which you can test with your first morning urine. Always start your testing cycle with enough fertility tests from the same batch for at least 10 tests. Perform fertility tests when the monitor displays the Test Day screen and always during the testing window. Turn on your Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor every morning during your testing window to see if you are eligible for a fertility test. You should always use your first morning urine or the urine obtained after your longest period of sleep. When you are ready to test, remove a stick from the foil and use it immediately. Insert the absorbent tip pointing downwards into the urine stream for just 3 seconds or collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container and insert the absorbent tip into the urine for just 15 seconds. Holding the swab face down, remove the cap from the handle and place it on the absorbent tip. Wipe off excess urine from the stick. Immediately insert the stick into the monitors test slot and place it on a flat surface. Wait 5 minutes. The screen turns off after 1 minute, but the monitor continues to analyze the sample. The indicator light flashes during the test. A beep sounds when the test is complete. If the monitor is off, turn it on again. The screen prompts you to remove the test before the result is displayed. Discard the used test in the household trash. Reading the results: - Low: Estrogen and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels are low; it is unlikely (but not impossible) that you will get pregnant - High: When the monitor has detected a surge in estrogen, it displays “High.” In the following days, the monitor will attempt to detect a surge in LH. It will continue to display “High” until the LH surge is detected and “Surge” is displayed. You should continue testing according to the monitor’s instructions.
