GLYCEROL Description A single-use medical device based on glycerol, chamomile, and mallow for rectal microenema use, indicated to facilitate bowel movements in cases of constipation. Also suitable for children. Glycerol exerts a mechanical laxative action thanks to its mechanism of attracting water into the stool, softening it and causing peristalsis and intestinal evacuation. Indicated for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. How to use Remove the cannula cover by bending it at the base. Lubricate with a drop of the same solution. Insert the cannula into the rectum and press the bulb. Remove while holding down the cannula and discard. 1 microenema as needed, for a maximum of 1 or 2 administrations per day. Warnings Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity or allergy to one or more components. In case of persistent constipation, it is important to consult your doctor to rule out other conditions. The micro-enema is for single use only; therefore, it should not be reused if half of it is administered. Keep out of reach of children. Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no more than seven days. Use for longer periods requires a doctors prescription after a thorough assessment of each individual case.
