SILVER CHOPSTICKS Description Class I medical device. Silver nitrate pencils. In low concentrations, silver nitrate has a bactericidal effect; in high concentrations, it has a corrosive effect, forming crusts. Potassium nitrate is the diluent that ensures a gentle reaction of silver nitrate. The mixture is placed on a pencil, like the tip of a match, and can be used only once after wetting. This medical product can be used on specific areas, thus limiting the effect to certain points. For the treatment of warts, umbilical cord remnants, skin growths, wound treatment, aphthous stomatitis, to stop superficial bleeding and epistaxis (nosebleeds). How to use Only treat small areas of skin at a time. For use on the skin: Prepare a clean, resistant surface. Wash the area to be treated. Moisten the tip of the pen by briefly placing it under water. The color of the tip changes to white or light gray. Clean or apply the tip repeatedly, precisely and evenly, to the area to be treated. The treated area will quickly change color and turn black; within a few days, this area will be rejected by the surrounding tissue. Repeat the treatment every 2-3 days until the desired result is achieved. warnings Do not use if you are allergic to silver nitrate or potassium nitrate. A discoloration of the treated area may last up to 24 hours. To treat any type of skin change that shows unusual changes in pigmentation or shape and that is not clearly recognized as granulation tissue or a simple wart, the pencils should be used under medical supervision. Do not touch the tip (corrosive substance) of the silver nitrate pencil with wet hands. Protect clothing and other objects when handling the pencil. Silver nitrate causes black and brown stains that cannot be removed with regular detergents. Thoroughly wash any healthy skin that accidentally comes into contact with the tip of the pen with water and a sponge; however, these areas of skin may experience a harmless change in pigmentation, becoming darker. This change in pigmentation disappears after approximately 10-14 days. If the pencil comes into contact with the eye, immediately rinse the eye under running water, holding the eyelids open, for at least 5 minutes continuously, then seek medical advice. When applying the product to your mouth, it is essential to make sure you do not swallow any part of the head. Treat children under 3 years of age only after consulting their personal doctor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medical product during pregnancy or breast-feeding, or if you think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not throw away with household waste.
