Koplowitz, H. B.: - H.B. Koplowitz is a journalist and educator who has authored three books and ghostwrote a fourth for an Illinois governor who did not go to prison. While reporting for his hometown newspaper in the 1980s, he wrote Carbondale After Dark, an illustrated anthology of history, essays and short stories about the community in the 1960s and 70s. In the 1990s he moved to Los Angeles, where he wrote columns about the Internet and pop culture for a weekly. He also edited for a wire service and faculty advised the student newspaper at a community college in South-Central L.A.. He currently lives in Florida, where he is a writing consultant at Florida Atlantic University.
