Effinol Spray 250 ml External antiparasitic, recommended for cats and dogs More information: EFFINOL SPRAY 250ML INDICATIONS AND TARGET SPECIES Dogs: Treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) and tick (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) infestations. Treatment of lice (Trichodectes canis) infestations. Cats: Treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) and tick (Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor variabilis) infestations. Treatment of lice (Felicola subrostratus) infestations. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). CONTRAINDICATIONS • Do not administer to sick animals (systemic diseases, fever...) or convalescent animals. • Do not administer to rabbits, as adverse reactions to the veterinary medicine and even death may occur. • Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to alcohol. SIDE EFFECTS • If the animal licks itself, a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed, mainly due to the nature of the excipient. • Among the extremely rare suspected adverse reactions, transient skin reactions such as erythema, pruritus, or alopecia were described after use. • In exceptional cases, hypersalivation, reversible neurological signs (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous signs), vomiting, or respiratory signs were observed after use. ADMINISTRATION ROUTE For cutaneous use. POSOLOGY Dogs and Cats: To moisten the coat down to the skin, apply 3 to 6 ml/kg of body weight depending on the length of the hair: 3 ml/kg body weight for short-haired animals up to 6 ml/kg body weight for long-haired animals. • As part of the treatment strategy for the control of allergic dermatitis, a monthly application is recommended for allergic animals and all animals living with them. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS • Avoid contact with the eyes of animals. • Do not exceed the recommended dose. • Do not spray directly on damaged areas of skin. • Allow treated animals to dry in a well-ventilated room. • It is not recommended to bathe or soap the animals during the 2 days before or after treatment with the veterinary medicine.
