Betoretol® Capsules Betoretol® capsules are a food for special medical purposes (supplementary balanced diet) for the dietary management of diabetic retinopathy (retinal disease caused by diabetes mellitus). Betoretol® capsules contain Pinus pinaster Ait. subsp. Atlantica extract. Continuous medical supervision by a physician is recommended. Betoretol® capsules are not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Use only under medical supervision. Application and dosage The recommended daily dose of betoretol is one 80 mg capsule, to be taken with sufficient liquid during or after a meal. If diabetic macular edema is also present, two 80 mg capsules daily are recommended. For optimal results, long-term and continuous use for at least 12 months may be beneficial. Please note: The maximum daily dose is two capsules. Safety and quality Betoretol is manufactured in accordance with GMP standards and is subject to strict quality controls to ensure consistently high product quality.
