Balanil gel, 2x40 ml, Epitech Group Medical device for topical use intended to promote the maintenance and/or restoration of mucocutaneous integrity of the male genital area. It is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of erythema, itching, edema, pain and burning during balanitis and balanoposthitis. Irritation and inflammation of the glans and foreskin are accompanied by acute local infectious conditions and are frequently not related to previous infections or persist in response to topical antifungal medications and treatments with cortisone or to the use of aggressive detergents. Traumatic, allergic and metabolic stimuli (e.g. diabetes) also contribute to the occurrence of irritative/inflammatory phenomena in the male genital area. There is also a close correlation between lower urinary tract symptoms, typical of prostate and bladder diseases, and the appearance of erythema, itching, edema, pain and burning in the glans and foreskin. Lower urinary tract symptoms include all urinary disorders, including: increased frequency and urgency of urination, incontinence and terminal secretions. Prolonged and/or frequent contact of urine with the skin and mucous membranes of the balano-preputial area predisposes the tissues to irritation and inflammation, especially in diabetic, immunosuppressed and elderly subjects. Regardless of the inducing stimulus, irritation and chronic inflammation of the male genital area lead to alteration of the defensive properties of the mucocutaneous barrier, facilitating the implantation of pathogens that cause genital infections. Composition: Water, Echinacea angustifolia extract, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium PCA, adelmidrol (INN), algin, sodium hyaluronate, sodium hydroxide, lactic acid, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol, trans-2-dodecenedioic acid, usnic acid, phytosphingosine, biotin. How to use: Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area twice a day until symptoms disappear or as directed by your doctor. The product, given its special bioadhesive characteristics, is able to remain in the application areas for a long time, thus guaranteeing an optimal long-lasting effect. Warnings: For external use only If you experience persistent burning upon application, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly in case of accidental eye contact. Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children. The product is not suitable for subjects already sensitized to the components present in the formula. Do not use if tube is damaged. Use before the expiration date. BALANIL GEL does not interact with pharmacological treatments commonly adopted in the therapy of balanitis and balanoposthitis; for its concomitant use, consult your doctor.
