The H. pylori rapid test uses a qualitative lateral flow immunoassay to detect Helicobacter pylori antigens in human stool samples. The test strip membrane is coated with specific anti-H. pylori antibodies at the test line. During the test, the stool sample reacts with the antibodies applied to the particles. Capillary action draws this mixture up the membrane, where it reacts with the pre-coated antibodies, resulting in the formation of a colored line. The appearance of such a line in the test area indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. Additionally, a colored line appears in the control area, confirming that the test was performed correctly by indicating that the sample was added properly and the membrane is adequately moistened. Detailed instructions for the test can be found in the user manual. When should the Helicobacter pylori rapid test be performed? The Helicobacter pylori rapid test should be performed if you have persistent stomach and intestinal problems such as GERD or gastritis. The test can be done at home at any time of day and offers a convenient way to check for these symptoms. Note: Please be aware that the test provides an initial indication. For a precise diagnosis and treatment recommendations, consulting a doctor is still advisable. Instructions for use: Before performing the test, stool samples must be collected according to the following instructions. 1. Wash your hands with soap and rinse them with clean water. 2. Collection of stool samples: The stool sample should be collected on stool collection paper or in a clean collection container. Please use stool collection paper and avoid contamination of the sample by ensuring that the sample or the side of the paper containing the sample does not come into contact with contaminating objects such as toilet cleaners. 3. Processing of stool samples: Twist open the cap of the sample collection tube and insert the sample applicator randomly into the stool sample at least three different locations. Do not scoop out the stool sample. 4. Screw the cap back onto the sample collection tube and shake vigorously to mix the sample and the extraction buffer. 5. Allow the packaging to reach room temperature before opening. Remove the test cassette from the packaging and use it as soon as possible. For best results, perform the test immediately after opening the packaging. 6. Open the cap of the sample collection tube and break off the tip. Turn the sample collection tube upside down and transfer 2 full drops of the extracted sample into the sample well (S) of the test cassette. Start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the sample well (S). 7. Read the result after 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, the result must no longer be evaluated. Notes: Please read all information in the package leaflet before performing the test. Store the test in the sealed foil pouch at room temperature or refrigerated (2–30°C). The test is valid until the expiry date printed on the sealed foil pouch. The test must remain in the sealed foil pouch until use. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not use after the expiry date.
