AROMATOIL CINNAMON Description Cinnamon essential oil contains a high amount of eugenol (80-96%), cinnamaldehyde, furfural, phellandrene, pinene, cimol, and linalool. Thanks to these substances, the oil has a stimulating effect on the body and mind and soothes musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatism or arthritis. Cinnamon promotes normal digestion, regulates normal intestinal transit and the elimination of gas, aids carbohydrate metabolism, and protects cellular constituents from oxidative damage. It can be used as an antibacterial and disinfectant agent applied in hospital environments, being active against gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria, such as: Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Enterobacter and Acinetobacter. It exhibits anti-atherosclerotic activity in atherosclerosis associated with insulin resistance and worsened atherogenic index (AI) associated with dyslipidemia. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, sexual dysfunction, and periodontal disease.
