Biove antiparasitic collar for cats COMPOSITION: Active ingredient: Dimpilate (Diazinon) 2.1g Excipients: Red iron oxide, black iron oxide, dibutyl phthalate, epoxidized soybean oil, calcium stearate, polyvinyl chloride TARGET SPECIES: Cat INDICATION: Treatment of external parasites caused by fleas (Ctenocephalides canis), ticks and lice METHOD AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Biove antiparasitic collar The product is for external use on cats only. One collar per animal. The collar provides effective protection against fleas and lice for 4 months and against ticks for 3 months. The collar is effective against fleas, lice and ticks only if used continuously. Fleas and lice on the cat are killed within a few hours of attaching the collar. Ticks are killed within about a day of attaching the collar. Dead ticks will either fall off the dog or can be easily removed. It is rare for there to be ticks on the dog wearing the collar. These ticks are only found on the fur and will fall off without feeding on the dogs blood. Remove the collar from the protective cover and unfold it. Place the collar around the animals neck. If it is correctly applied there should be a space between the collar and the animals neck where a finger can fit. The excess collar will be cut off. The duration and level of effectiveness depend on the thickness and length of the hair, the animals activities and the level of infestation. It is preferable to wash the animals hair, if it is not clean, before putting on the collar. The collar is waterproof, but it is preferable to remove it before bathing or swimming and put it back on immediately after drying the hair. This collar should be renewed every 4 months in case of flea and lice infestation. In case of tick infestation, it should be changed after 3 months. SPECIAL WARNING, IF APPLICABLE: – Special precautions for use in animals: The collar will be removed at the first sign of intolerance. -Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: Avoid direct skin contact. Wear protective gloves when attaching the collar. Do not smoke, eat or drink while attaching the collar. After attaching the collar around the animals neck, hands should be washed. Children will not be allowed to play with the collar. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCTS OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY: Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from the use of such products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.
