DOSAGE: 5 mg praziquantel and 20 mg pyrantel (57.5 mg pyrantel embonate) per kg body weight. This corresponds to 1 tablet per 4 kg body weight. Cats weighing less than 1 kg should not be treated with this product, as correct dosing is not possible for these cats. Route of administration: Oral administration. The tablets should not be administered directly into the mouth, but may be administered with a small amount of food, if necessary. Duration of therapy: Single treatment. Note: Complete eradication of roundworm infestations cannot be expected, especially in kittens, so a risk of infection for humans may persist. Therefore, repeated treatments should be carried out with a suitable product against intestinal nematodes at 14-day intervals until 2-3 weeks after weaning. STORAGE: Store unused half tablets below +25°C. Whenever a portion of an unused tablet is saved for the next use, it should be returned to the opened blister and kept in a safe place, out of the sight and reach of children. Shelf life of the half tablet after first opening the primary packaging: 1 month. WARNINGS: Tapeworm infestation occurs in cats at least in the third week of life. Fleas act as intermediate hosts for a common type of tapeworm - Dipylidium caninum. Tapeworm infestation is very likely to recur unless intermediate hosts such as fleas, mice, etc. are controlled. Precautions should be taken to avoid the following practices as they increase the risk of developing resistance and could lead to ineffective therapy: frequent and repeated use of anthelmintics belonging to the same class over a long period of time; underdosing, which may be due to underestimation of body weight or incorrect administration of the product. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice and show the package leaflet to the physician. In accordance with hygiene standards, anyone administering the tablet directly to the cat or adding it to the cats food should wash their hands. Other precautions: Echinococcosis poses a risk to humans. As echinococcosis is a notifiable disease to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), specific guidance on treatment, monitoring and human safety should be obtained from the competent authority. Overdose: Symptoms of overdose occur at at least 5 times the recommended dose. The first sign of intoxication is vomiting. TARGET SPECIES: Cats. INTERACTIONS: Do not use concomitantly with piperazine, as the specific activity of piperazine (neuromuscular paralysis of parasites) may inhibit the efficacy of pyrantel (spastic paralysis of parasites). ADVERSE REACTIONS: In extremely rare cases, mild and transient disorders of the digestive tract, such as hypersalivation and/or vomiting, and mild and transient neurological disorders, such as ataxia, may occur. PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: The safety of the veterinary medicinal product during pregnancy has not been established. The product should not be used during pregnancy, but can be used during breastfeeding
