AMINOTROPHIC NE Dietary food intended for special medical purposes that provides a mixture of amino acids that are metabolic mediators of protein synthesis, intended for the dietary treatment of protein malnutrition in acute and chronic diseases, accompanied by loss of muscle mass and in senile or neoplastic sarcopenia. Consisting of qualitatively and quantitatively well-defined essential amino acids, which, by improving nutritional status, allow for the maintenance of physical independence, reducing the risk of frailty, especially in the elderly. Thanks to its pleasant palatability, it is suitable for the dietary regimen of both individuals requiring enteral nutrition and individuals with normal swallowing function, also facilitating the transition from enteral to oral nutrition. Proper nutrition is the only way to limit and correct metabolic changes associated with any medical or surgical disease. A key aspect of adequate nutrition is exercise tolerance, which is essential for maintaining or improving motor independence, self-sufficiency, and quality of life: nutrition with a rehabilitative function. The nutritional approach with AMINOTROFIC NE is based on consolidated clinical results, which demonstrate a significant increase in exercise tolerance. AMINOTROFIC NE: 1) improves muscle metabolism, making energy production more efficient; 2) increases the synthesis of muscle and plasma proteins; 3) counteracts the loss of muscle mass. Thanks to these actions, resulting from the increased number and functionality of mitochondria, AMINOTROFIC NE promotes the restoration of muscle mass lost due to chronic diseases or advanced age and the recovery of physical activity. Clinical studies demonstrate that AMINOTROFIC NE can replace physical rehabilitation if this is not feasible, or can enhance its results. Supplementation with AMINOTROFIC NE is recommended in the following situations: 1) reduced physical capacity or easy fatigue; 2) unplanned weight loss; 3) insufficient daily intake of foods containing high biological value proteins (e.g. meat, cheese, milk, eggs); 4) bedridden, immobility or little daily physical activity, mainly confined to home spaces; 5) loss of muscle mass due to chronic diseases (chronic heart failure, COPD, etc.); 6) during and after an infectious episode or infectious recurrence; 7) need to accelerate wound healing, including surgical wounds.
