AlitraQ Description Food for special medical purposes. Indicated for the dietary management of metabolic stress-related conditions with impaired gastrointestinal function in patients requiring a high-protein, low-residue, peptide-based formula with glutamine. Administer by gavage or orally. For patients who may benefit from additional arginine and glutamine. Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing food. Ensure all tools and preparation areas are free from contamination. Wear disposable gloves when handling food. Pour 250 ml of room temperature water into a clean container. Slowly empty the contents of one sachet into the container, stirring constantly. Continue stirring for 30 seconds until the powder is completely dissolved. If not used immediately, cover the product and refrigerate it after preparation. Discard any unconsumed food after 24 hours. Gastric tube: Follow your doctors instructions. The flow rate and volume depend on the patients condition and tolerance. Additional fluid requirements can be met by administering water. Take care to avoid product contamination during preparation. The formula should not be left hanging on the bed for more than 4 hours. Do not add new food to a formula already hanging. Warnings This product can be used as a nutritional supplement under medical supervision. Do not use in children. Do not use in cases of galactosemia.
