Algae lime powder - a natural calcium source from the Atlantic coast Our napani algae lime is obtained from mineralized, sedimented deposits of red algae (Lithothamnium calcareum). As a slow-growing plant in its natural environment on the seabed, it contains a variety of essential vitamins and minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, and iron), as well as organically bound trace elements (such as selenium and copper) and health-promoting, bioactive secondary plant compounds. The algae, which is intensely red in water, turns white when dried.
