COLPHARMA Air 100 FAMILY Description Product intended to be used for the inhalation of drugs for the treatment of respiratory disorders. Intended Patients: People with respiratory problems who need to take inhaled medications. Suitable for both pediatric and adult use. How to use Open the nebulizer and pour in the amount of medication prescribed by your doctor. Be sure not to exceed the maximum level. Choose the most suitable inhalation accessory as prescribed by your doctor. Connect the nebulizer with the air tube to the compressor and insert the power cable plug into the electrical outlet, making sure that the network complies with what is stated in this manual or in the devices rating plate. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, place the nasal nozzle under your nostrils, or place the mask on your face, making sure it covers your mouth and nose. Sit in a relaxed position with your upper body straight. Do not lie down while inhaling. After completing the inhalation session as recommended by your doctor, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the device and unplug it from the power supply. Check that there is no condensation in the air hose. If condensation does occur, turn on the device to dry the moisture in the hose and then disconnect it as described above. Empty any remaining medication into the nebulizer and clean the device. This device is designed for 20 min. ON / 40 min. OFF operation. Cleaning Clean all components carefully and remove any drug residue and possible impurities after each treatment. The compressor and air hose should be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. Always clean your hands thoroughly before cleaning and disinfecting accessories. Wash/sterilize the nebulizer in all its components. Do not expose the compressor to water or heat. Replace the air tube when changing to a new patient or if it becomes dirty. Cleaning with water. Clean all components (except the air tube) under hot running water for approximately 5 minutes, adding, if necessary, a small amount of neutral detergent, following the dosage and limitations indicated by the detergent manufacturer. Rinse thoroughly making sure that all residues are removed and leave to dry. Disinfection. All components (except the air tube) can be disinfected with chemical disinfectants using doses and limitations specified by the disinfectant manufacturer. Disinfectants are generally available in pharmacies. Steam sterilization. All components (except the air tube and masks) can be steam sterilized up to 100°C (15-20 min.). After sterilization, always allow the components to cool to room temperature before further use. Do not repeat the sterilization cycle when the components are still hot. Sterilization with boiling water. All components (except the air tube and masks) can also be immersed in boiling water for no more than 1 minute. Boil the components in plenty of water. Disassemble the nebulizer into all its components and boil separately. Warnings Follow the instructions for use. The device is not suitable for anesthesia and lung ventilation. The device must be used only with original accessories. Do not use the device if you think it is damaged or if you notice anything unusual. Never open the device. This device is constructed of delicate components and must be treated with care. Protect your device from: water and humidity; extreme temperatures; bumps and drops; contamination and dust; direct sunlight; heat and cold. Use the device only with medications prescribed by your doctor and follow the prescribed dosage, duration, and frequency of therapy instructions. Do not tilt the nebulizer more than 45°. Do not use the device near strong electromagnetic fields such as cell phones or radio installations. Maintain a minimum distance of 3.3 m from other devices when using this device. Store the device and its accessories in a clean place. Do not use or store this device in the presence of fumes and gases. Do not use medicines left in the nebulizer but always use new ones. Do not use with anesthesia or respiratory ventilation circuits. Ensure that children do not use the device without adult supervision. Some parts are small and could be swallowed. Be aware of the risk of strangulation when using cables or hoses. Use of this device does not replace consultation with your doctor. Do not cover the device with a cloth, towel, or anything else during use to avoid overheating or malfunction. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the power outlet. The compressor is not waterproof and should not come into contact with liquids. If it comes into contact with liquids, immediately unplug it, turn off the device, and dry it thoroughly.
