Instructions for use To help reduce or prevent stress while traveling: Approximately 15 minutes before placing your pet in the crate or car, spray 8 to 10 times. Apply one spray to one of the four corners and two sprays to each side of the crate. The effect lasts for approximately 4-5 hours. For long trips, reapply after 4-5 hours. Keep your pet outside for at least 15 minutes to allow the alcohol component to evaporate. Adaptil Spray can be sprayed directly onto the bed, inside the crate or inside the crates 15 minutes before placing your dog inside. Reapply twice daily. We do not recommend its use in the following situations: If your dogs problems are not related to the stress of travel or if they stem from a lack of stimulation in their environment, or if your dog is urinating or defecating in the car due to lack of training or medical reasons, you should always consult a veterinarian.
