Actisorb Silver Description Activated charcoal dressing with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon ring, which not only masks odor but, thanks to the activated charcoal, binds bacteria and bacterial toxins in the dressing. Silver 220 dressing is effective in vitro against 150 microorganisms associated with wound infections, including MRSA and VRE. An in vitro study shows that the dressing exerts effective antimicrobial activity without causing damage to host cells or preventing fibroblast proliferation. Actisorb Silver 220 dressing eliminates malodor, thus improving the patients quality of life.
