body ACMED Cream Description Acmed™ New Azelaic Acid 20% is effective in patients suffering from any type of acne, both in the acute phase and in maintenance therapy, with a better tolerability profile than benzoyl peroxide. Azelaic acid is currently among the most widely used substances for the treatment of acne vulgaris, especially mild to moderate forms, but also rosacea. Its multiple skin effects, including anti-acne and anti-dermogenic effects (anti-blackheads and acne-like pimples), well documented by numerous clinical studies, are due to: - antibacterial properties (especially against Propionibacterium acnes); - inhibitory activity against keratinocyte proliferation; - anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity (against free radicals); - activity of reducing the content of free fatty acids in lipids on the skin surface (less oily complexion); - depigmenting action, useful for effectively combating skin spots caused by acne. Unlike other topical treatments used for acne, azelaic acid is not photosensitizing and can therefore also be used in the summer months. The first results can be seen after just two months of treatment, but it is usually essential to continue applying the cream to achieve complete remission of acne signs and symptoms. It does not contain perfumes. How to use Wash the area to be treated (such as the face, chest or back). Apply the product with a gentle massage. Do not rinse the treated area.
