Acetocaustin® is a proven remedy for the painless removal of warts since 1956 (!). Acetocaustin® Wart Treatment is an effective and safe solution for treating common warts. It consists of monochloroacetic acid and purified water. In a clinical study, monochloroacetic acid proved to be a reliable alternative to cryotherapy and salicylic acid, especially for common warts*. The solution comes in a 2 ml bottle with a child-resistant cap. Application in five steps Generously cover the skin around the wart with a well-adhering cream, preferably Vaseline. Dip the spatula into the solution and wipe it off on the inside rim of the bottle opening. No drop should remain on the spatula! Now apply Acetocaustin® to the wart using the spatula. Ensure that only the wart and no surrounding skin comes into contact with the solution. Let the solution soak in briefly. You can then remove the petroleum jelly. Carefully close the bottle and store it upright, tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Repeat the application once a week. After one week, the monochloroacetic acid will have dissolved the top layer of the wart.
