Specifications: - Cannula: soft material cannula - Insertion angle: straight, 90˚ - Interruption: yes, on the spot - Cannula length: 8 and 10 mm - Cannula diameter: delicate (22 Gauge) - Tubing length: 30, 60, 80 and 110 cm - Tubing rigidity: very flexible - Height: 6.4 mm (.25 inches) How to use: Accu-Chek FlexLink is a high-quality catheter (infusion set) with a delicate 90° cannula that can be disconnected at one end, and equipped with a locking connector for connection to the pump. - Wash your hands. - Choose a site away from your waistline, away from bones, scars, the navel, and sites that have recently been used for infusion. Allow the infusion site to dry before inserting the Accu-Chek FlexLink. - Hold the blue Accu-Chek FlexLink support cap between your thumb and forefinger. - Then twist and pull to remove the transparent protective cover. - Remove both pieces of foil from the back of the adhesive. - Grasp the subcutaneous tissue. - Insert the needle and soft cannula quickly and straight into the infusion site, at a 90° angle. - Smooth the self-adhesive by running your fingers over it. This ensures good contact with the skin. - Hold the self-adhesive strip down, gently press the edges of the blue support cover and pull it down from the cannula housing. - To remove the needle, hold the cannula housing tightly against your body. Using its handle, pull the needle out at a right angle. - Firmly attach the locking fitting to the pump adapter thread. - Fill the Accu-Chek FlexLink according to the pump manufacturers instructions until the drug substance comes out of the tip of the connector needle. Do not leave air bubbles in either the cartridge or the transfer set. - Connect the transfer set to the newly inserted infusion set. You should hear a click when connected. Fill the empty space in the cannula housing with a bolus of 1.0 units of U-100 insulin. - Start dispensing with the pump. Please refer to the Accu-Chek FlexLink User Manual for detailed information.
